John Richey

Kansas City's John Richey emerged onto the music scene in 2017 with his first major project "Basement Tapes", ending the year with a total of four self-produced projects while having opened for artists such as Skippa da Flippa, Dalima, and Strange Music's JL, among others. John quickly followed up his 2017 success with the single "What You Like", which has gone on to amass more than 100,000+ streams after it's early 2018 release. Following up a short run of minor releases to SoundCloud, John Richey returned with numerous tracks in 2019 including "Palace", which features fellow Kansas City artist Sistine Chapel, "Part of Me", that has gone on to receive over 250,000+ streams, as well as his latest major release, "Sharks", which saw it's first month streaming sales donated to Project AWARE and their fight towards ocean preservation. Finishing out 2019 on a deeper note, John looks to make a musical and emotional impact on his fans.

Sharks

John Richey

"With a style all his own, 24-year-old Kansas City-native John Richey looks to shake up the scene and challenge how independent musicians and artists alike are represented. After silently releasing various singles to SoundCloud, John Richey took a short musical hiatus to co-found BNFT Clothing Company in fall of 2018, a charity based clothing brand, but is visibly back and deserving of a spot in your playlist. Focusing on both sides of the spectrum, entertainment value and substance, John Richey serves up a lyrical track coinciding with real-world good being done." - IssueWire
